Learn about the Lake Trout and Lake Whitefish Monitoring Program

The Government of Yukon checks the health of lake trout and lake whitefish every year through monitoring surveys. The program collects information on population levels, size, length, weight and age to detect changes over time. These reports are divided into lakes and watersheds based on the water that flows in and out of them. This helps us understand the health of Yukon’s lake trout and lake whitefish populations.
