The Government of Yukon is extending the operating hours of the Whitehorse Walk-in Clinic to better serve the community. Starting on Monday, June 17, the clinic will now be open:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Thursday and Friday: 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm

The clinic's telephone line will be open:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 8:45 am to 5:30 pm
  • Thursday and Friday: 8:45 am to 4:30 pm

This change will provide more flexibility and accessibility for Yukoners seeking non-urgent medical care outside of standard working hours.

Since the opening of the clinic on December 18, 2023, the feedback received has been overwhelmingly positive. Clients have praised the clinic for its friendly and helpful staff, quick and efficient service, and the high quality of care provided. Comments highlight the welcoming atmosphere, the professionalism of the health care team and the positive overall experience with the health care system. Many clients have expressed gratitude for the clinic's existence, noting how essential it is for those without a primary care provider.

With these extended hours, the Whitehorse Walk-in Clinic continues to demonstrate its commitment to meeting the health care needs of all Yukoners, ensuring they receive timely and compassionate care when they need it most.
