Minister of Health and Social Services Tracy-Anne McPhee and Minister responsible for French Language Services Directorate John Streicker have issued the following statement:
“Today marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the first-year anniversary of the Centre de Santé Constellation Health Centre. This health care facility, which began its journey in the Nuvo Building at 102-4149 4th Avenue, has since transitioned to its permanent home at 9010 Quartz Road in Whitehorse.
“The establishment of this centre has not only enhanced the provision of primary health care services but has also made these services more accessible to the territory’s francophone population and to all Yukoners. So far, the team of interdisciplinary health professionals has provided exceptional care to over 816 Yukoners. We look forward to increasing this number over the coming year.
“In the past year, we have seen incredible growth and commitment from the Constellation Health Centre. The rolling client intake and expansion of the clinic’s team represent significant progress toward providing equitable and high-quality care to all Yukoners.
“The centre offers a variety of primary health and wellness services in both French and English, including outpatient care, referrals to specialists, diagnostic tests, pharmaceuticals, virtual visits, routine check-ups, chronic disease management, health education, social work and rapid-access mental health counselling.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, including l’Association franco-yukonnaise and the Partenariat Communauté en Santé, for their hard work and dedication. Their contributions have been pivotal in making the Centre de Santé Constellation Health Centre a success.
“We remain committed to ensuring that every Yukoner has access to quality health care services.”
