Lotteries Yukon doubles funding for Travel Assistance Program and announces Projects Fund Spring Intake deadline

Lotteries Yukon is pleased to announce significant enhancements to its funding programs, to support community initiatives and enhance access to cultural and recreational activities across the Yukon.

Effective April 1, 2024, the Travel Assistance Program will see a substantial boost, with funding doubling from $200 to $400 per person for each discipline for eligible travel outside of the Yukon during the fiscal year. This increase aims to alleviate financial barriers and ensure that individuals and groups can access travel support to participate in cultural, recreational and sports events across the Yukon.

Lotteries Yukon would also like to remind Yukoners about the Projects Fund Spring Intake, which is set to close on April 15, 2024. This initiative provides an opportunity for community organizations, non-profits and individuals to apply for financial assistance to support projects that contribute to the cultural vibrancy and recreational opportunities in the Yukon.

I’m pleased that the Yukon Lottery Commission is taking action to address affordability. By doubling the Travel Assistance Program funding and expanding resources for cultural and recreational initiatives, Lotteries Yukon can continue important work to ensure Yukoners have the opportunity to participate and thrive in our vibrant communities.
