Premier Ranj Pillai will attend the Council of the Federation meeting of Canadian Premiers from July 10 to 12 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The meeting presents an opportunity to share the priorities of Yukoners, while engaging on common issues facing all Canadians.
On July 11, discussions will focus on the state of the federation, health care, labour force and immigration, public safety, Arctic security and sovereignty, and affordability and housing.
On July 12, Premiers will focus on economic growth, including discussions on competitiveness, strategic infrastructure, energy security and critical minerals, sustainable development and climate action.
Premiers will also have the opportunity to meet with leaders from national Indigenous organizations.
I look forward to this important opportunity to build relationships across the country and work together with my fellow Premiers. These gatherings provide a platform to highlight the diverse range of challenges experienced across the country, supporting us to find collaborative, effective solutions that benefit Yukoners and all Canadians.
