Post COVID-19 condition, also known as long COVID, is rapidly evolving and continues to be researched in Canada and across the world. The Post COVID-19 Working Group has now released an online resource for Yukoners, an important and necessary step forward in understanding the condition and supporting Yukoners along the way.
The resource is intended for Yukoners with symptoms of post COVID-19 condition, their friends and families, and healthcare providers. The resource focuses on current supports, information and services from the Yukon government, Government of Canada and promising practices in other jurisdictions.
Through several meetings, group members shared their experiences, listened to interactive presentations, and worked together to create a resource for all Yukoners to learn about the condition and to help those living with it navigate their symptoms.
Our government’s top priority remains protecting the health and safety of Yukoners. Supporting Yukoners and their families who are experiencing post COVID-19 condition is an important part of this process. I encourage all Yukoners to explore this new resource and learning about post COVID-19 condition. Reach out for help if you are experiencing ongoing symptoms. Thank you all the members of the Post COVID-19 Working Group for their dedicated efforts into creating this resource. It could not have been accomplished without the critical and meaningful input from the members with lived experience.
