School bus routes available for the 2023-24 school year

Whitehorse school bus routes for the 2023–24 school year are now finalized and can be found online.

If you have registered your student for the bus, you will receive an email with their assigned bus route by Wednesday, August 9. If you do not receive an email by August 9, please email student.transportation@yukon.ca or call 867-667-5172.

Schools will provide students with a school bus tag during the first week of school that includes their school bus number.

If you have made a special request for your student, such as riding the bus to or from somewhere other than your home address, these requests are considered at the start of the new school year. You will be notified by August 28 to let you know if your request can be accommodated.

If your student’s bus route is impacted by the construction on Range Road, you will receive an email with information. Until changes in routes are needed, routes will operate as posted. Remember to keep your contact information up to date throughout the school year. Email student.transportation@yukon.ca if your contact information changes.

Quick facts
  • Most bus routes have not changed. Parents and guardians in rural communities should contact their school directly for busing options.

  • Information on how to register to get email alerts about school bus delays is available on Yukon.ca.

  • Late registration will be accommodated with existing bus routes. Follow the instructions on Yukon.ca

  • Whitehorse high school students can take a city bus instead of a school bus. Students can register for a city bus pass. Once their registration is submitted, they will receive a confirmation email with more information.

  • If you need to request a change to your student’s existing route assignment email student.transportation@yukon.ca or call 867-667-5172.
