Purpose of the trip: Premier Pillai attended the Council of the Federation (COF) in Winnipeg, Manitoba to share the priorities of Yukoners, while engaging on common issues facing all Canadians. Discussions focused on the state of the federation, health care, labour force and immigration, public safety, Arctic security and sovereignty, and affordability and housing as well as economic growth, including discussions on competitiveness, strategic infrastructure, energy security and critical minerals, sustainable development and climate action. Premier Pillai also had the opportunity to meet with healthcare leaders and national Indigenous organizations.
