Purpose of the trip:
Premier Pillai and Ministerial Advisor Aurora Bicudo, attended the Association for Mineral Exploration Roundup and the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference (VRIC). Premier Pillai attended VRIC as a keynote speaker at the Yukon Mining Alliance’s booth where he spoke to the mineral potential and strong environmental, social and governance values, while also underscoring the crucial role of First Nations governments in resource development. The Premier met with Yukon First Nations while he was at the Roundup conference, as well as the municipality of Skagway. The Premier also had the opportunity to meet with Premier Eby and B.C.’s Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship, Nathan Cullen.
