Site description
  • The Tagish River, also known as Six Mile River, enters Marsh Lake here. Tagish Tū’e’ means “break-up of ice.”
  • Swans and waterfowl rest here in March and April.
  • The Tagish Bridge is a popular place to fish. This area is known for its Lake Trout, whitefish, Least Cisco, and Arctic Grayling.
  • Look for the rare black form of the Arctic Ground Squirrel in the roadsides and meadows along the Tagish Road.
  • Gates are closed from 11pm - 7am daily.
