Main responsibilities of a forms designer

As a forms designer you’ll be responsible for the following.

Supporting all government programs and departments with official paper and digital forms. This includes:

  • planning;
  • creating;
  • deploying; and
  • managing these forms.

Ensuring all forms adhere to the government's:

  • visual identity;
  • brand standards;
  • forms standards;
  • digital standards;
  • data security requirements; and
  • user experience best practices.

Applying a design-thinking mentality to problem solving and developing forms-related processes.

Managing tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

Prioritizing a range of projects in various phases of development.

Tracking the time and status of projects to ensure efficient delivery and for billing purposes.

What we're looking for in your resume

We're looking for a person with experience:

  • in graphic and web design;
  • in desktop publishing or multimedia communication;
  • in forms design or interaction design;
  • liaising with clients;
  • maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders;
  • prioritizing work;
  • maintaining compliance with legal and policy requirements;
  • coordinating, tracking and managing a variety of projects at the same time; and
  • maintaining records, metadata, version control and file management processes.

Experience with Drupal or another content management systems is an asset.

Include related education, training or experiences that are equal to these essential qualifications. We may consider your application if they apply.
