Wildland Fire responding to Stink Lake fire (CA-005)

Wildland Fire is responding to a small lightning-caused fire in the full response zone 9 kilometres southwest of Pelly Crossing. Two helicopters, airtankers and one crew have been deployed to the Stink Lake fire (CA-005) for initial attack.

The fire is 2 kilometres away from the North Klondike Highway and smoke may be visible. The North Klondike Highway is not currently impacted by this fire.

Flying drones is illegal within 9.3 kilometres (5 nautical miles) of active wildfires.

Yukon Protective Services will continue to provide updates. Visit wildfires.service.yukon.ca to see the locations, size and control status of all Yukon wildfires.
