Apply for a gender-based violence rent subsidy

Survivors of gender-based violence with low to moderate income can apply for the Canada-Yukon Housing Benefit Gender-Based Violence subsidy to find and keep safe housing.

When we receive applications, we:

  • review them to see if they’re eligible; and
  • send a letter to the applicant with details about their application and eligibility.

If the program becomes fully subscribed, we:

  • continue reviewing applications; and
  • put eligible applicants on a waitlist.

We will contact eligible applicants when there is space in the program.
