Learn about the Cannabis Licensing Board

The Cannabis Licensing Board:

  • approves cannabis licences,
  • determines licensing conditions,
  • holds hearings related to a licence application; and
  • reviews decisions of the President to impose sanctions on licensees.

The board is arm's-length from the Government of Yukon and Yukon Liquor Corporation. Learn more about the board and how to apply to be a member. 

Meeting schedule

The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month and additional meetings can be scheduled as required.

  • Cynthia James, member from January 17, 2022, chair from February 8, 2024 to January 16, 2025
  • David Sloan, chair and member from January 17, 2022 to January 16, 2025
  • Eva Bidrman, member from February 8, 2024, to Febuary 7, 2027
  • Gary Adams, member from June 27, 2024 to June 26, 2027
  • John Farynowski, member from January 17, 2022 to January 16, 2025

Any Yukon resident is eligible to apply to serve on the Cannabis Licensing Board.
