Wildland Fire Management has spent the weekend responding to new lightning-caused wildfires while protecting communities on firelines across the territory.
Wildland Fire Management has put a level 2 fire restriction in place for the Beaver Creek, Haines Junction, Carmacks, Ross River, Dawson, Mayo and Old Crow fire districts.
Poor visibility from smoke has caused a closure of the North Klondike Highway between Pelly Crossing and Stewart Crossing.
